As a teacher, I feel interested and satisfied if I can help my students to be more confident and independent, but well-engaged in the classroom activity. For me, it makes the students learn better. In line with the teacher’s role as the supportive caretaker, webinar 5.5 share several strategies that provide the students the opportunity to interact and use English appropriately. For the learning styles, in my opinion, visual preference is the best choice. Thank you, Mr. Rudi. It gives me useful information.
BalasHapusAmerican English Webinar 5.5 “Learner Training – Developing Student Autonomy to Increase Engagement, it shows me that learner training involves helping learners find out how they learn most effectively and its aim is to produce effective, independent language learners. Some learning styles/preference are offered for our students such as visual, auditory, read/write, and kinesthetic. Although visual preference is the most interesting to be implemented, but here I plan developing auditory preference, since the learners will get more, when they listen better. In addition, The role of teacher in the classroom activity is as supportive caretaker, captivating performer and all know master, those roles lead to create the opportunities for students for interaction, make their language real, and build their independent in using the language. Thank you Mr. rudi

BalasHapusAs the result of this webinar, some strategy instructions can be implemented to build learners’ autonomy and confidence in LT practices in the classrooms. According to Maggie, a teacher should facilitate learners by giving opportunities for interaction, making the language real, and creating independent language users. Learner training also helps teachers to identify classroom problems and solve them appropriately.
