BalasHapus" Learn it! Share it! Using Online Tools for Sharing Best Practices and Materials Across Continents" it is beautiful way to teach the student. If the teacher just teach them like a dictator, they will be feel uncomfortable. Moreover, they feel afraid with the teacher. I think, with sharing the student more comfortable, because, they feel free to express their idea. the impact of this technique, can be improve their skill naturally. And the important thing is they can mastery of the material. But the teacher have to control and give feedback to them after they share their idea.

Besides that, we can also know and understand about the leaning materials and practices that carried out, it will be useful to know the development of learning materials especially in English as foreign language and second language. In addition, as teachers, we can apply this technique to teach students in order to make them understand deeper about the materials. And for the students, they can easily get the information by using their online tools to achieve some useful and helpful understanding towards the materials. I think then, this technique will direct the students to improve their communication skills. It is clear that this video can give many benefits for the teachers and the students especially in conducting the teaching learning process towards especially English as foreign language.

HapusAssalamu'allaikum Wr. Wb. Mr. Rudi,
BalasHapusMy name is Amida Meila Indriasari one of your Post Graduate Student at UNNES. The 4th webinar is entitled “Learn it! Share it! Using variety of tools for sharing best practices and materials across continent” By Ryan Brux, it touches my heart, it means a lot to me. The word 'sharing' has deep meaning, especially for teachers like me, we actually did it in our daily live but somehow we don't relize it. As a teacher we should understand that sharing is part of professional responsibility. I totally agree of what speaker said that life is about getting and sharing. The more you share, the more you get and the more you get, the more you are sharing. Through many examples of sharing, now we having an open mind in sharing with everyone to improve our teaching techniques. It is a way to invest in knowledge as well as making bonds around the world. Sharing will create unselfishness personality, and it is good for students future.
Thank you for sharing this webinar, and looking forward for the next webinar.

BalasHapusIt's very great ideas to share information to others. Teaching others means teaching ourselves!
From this video, I can see that we, as an English teacher in Indonesia, is so far left behind. We should improve our teaching process. In this video, it is shown so many activities in sharing ideas like : Remote teaching and Video production, Online platform, Community gardening, Learning grammar with Youtube, and etc. We should do these kind of activities to our students. Let's try, let's make a change!
Based on The Learning Pyramid, teaching others is 90 % more effective than Lecture (5%). But so far, what we do in our classroom is only Lecturing.
Now, let's share! Let's give them good opportunities in learning process.
Thank you very much.

BalasHapus"Life is about getting and sharing. The more you share, the more you get...and the more you get, the more your sharing responsibility multiples." (Avivor).
Well, I think this way of teaching is innovative because we treat our students not only to learn but to share. They can find the material from many fields or sources. By sharing other they get many benefits such as reinforces memory, challenge their own memory, make them more articulate and well-spoken, encourage other to share ideas, and so on.
So, I this is good for teaching learning in the classroom and for creating a leader.
Thank you.

BalasHapusthis edition of webinar makes me believe that learning is from born till end, and sharing what we had and giving what we got. From this video, the way of teaching is innovative but in other hand, it shows a phenomena that actually paradox. why ? in indonesia the process of learning is so far left behind. as a teacher we should improve our teaching process. It is shown the activities in sharing ideas, community gardening, learning listening by youtube, etc. But however, we should prove and improve what is available now, we need to maximize the potential. Then, we have to share and spread it, to get more evaluation and better suggestion. Learn, share, live and peace.

HapusAssalamu'alaikum,
BalasHapusDear Mr. Rudi... My name's Hasan Abdul Kohar, (0203515095), I'm one of your student at UNNES post graduate program. After watching The American English Webinar 1.4. "Learn it! Share it! Using Online Tools for Sharing Best Practices and Materials Across Continents" presented by Ryan Brux , I suddenly became aware that it is somwhat comparable to one of the core values and thoughts of my religion. Our holy book, the Qur'an teaches us to have the ability to be personally beneficial to anyone. As a true Muslim, we should be able to share happiness & charity with sincerity and earnestness. Sharing love and attention with treasure we have. Sure, it's including the sharing of science and knowledge as a form of our social piety.
It is a must for us to share the knowledge that we have to others. It is not merely because of an order from the God, but from the scientific side we can find that the more we share the knowledge, the more perfect the science we have. As a wise man says: "the more you give, the more you get"
Science can only develop if we continue to train on an ongoing basis. Our Science will stop and standstill if it is not applied properly. Sharing knowledge is one of the most effective training model to make us more intelligent and expert in a particular part of science.
The problem facing on here is how we build a culture of knowledge sharing on ourselves. What then does it mean to create a Knowledge Sharing Culture?” Well it’s about making knowledge sharing the norm. To create a knowledge sharing culture you need to encourage people to work together more effectively, to collaborate and to share - ultimately to make organisational knowledge more productive. For me, it could begin by share knowledge to family and our good friends. If this can be done traditionally, actually we had just made our own culture sharing, after that we could extend the knowledge sharing activities using online tools. The virtual world provides us the opportunity to meet other people from different countries. By selectively choosing friends according to the common interests, then we can share our knowledge to them and at the same time we will gain new knowledge from them.
Thank you for having this precious practical teaching model
Best Regards,
Hasan Abdul Kohar

BalasHapusUsing Online Tools for Sharing Best Practices and Materials Across Continents. Its really interesting topic for me. It breaks through our mind that knowledge can be shared to everyone in the world. We can interact with others, sharing ideas and supporting each others. The question is how to apply that method in our classroom? For the beginning maybe we can start in a group by conducting class discussion and collaborating as a group to achieve the learning goals. Of course it can support to develop course materials and create opportunities for students to communicate with each others. But the major problem is about cross culture understanding. Its about collaborating across continents and cultures. We have to understand CCU at first. Because CCU is study to bridge two cultures or customs between countries, which aims to gain an understanding of cultural differences and with the ability of the two countries. I think its a common when we try to start communication and its not a barrier to share our practices. Eventually, using online tools accross continents can improve our communication skill and add our experience about learning other culture. Its very interesting.

Hi, I am Tri Okta Ervina (0203515087). I am really grateful that the topic of this webinar is about learning and sharing. As we are majoring in education, those two words cannot be separated each other because those words are the heart of education. In this globlization era, learning and sharing can be conducted not only in the classroom but also outside the classroom. As a student, I am able to get knowledge from everywhere around the world by using online tools. It helps me a lot in gaining knowledge or material that I need. Therefore, I am also able to share what I have known about anything to anyone using online tools. Thus, when we share, we are able to understand better because anyone can give feedback that are able to improve our understanding. Thank you.
